About Me
My name is Danielle Johnson, and I am currently a junior finance major at Louisiana State University's E.J. Ourso College of Business. I will graduate with a bachelor's degree in finance with a minor in information technology management in May of 2015.
As a member of LSU's Certified Financial Planner program, I am on track to sit for the CFP exam in March of 2015. After interning with a financial planner in the summer of 2013, I have gained an insight into the financial planning industry. I strongly believe I will highly enjoy a career educating individuals on how to make superior financial decisions and establishing sound financial futures for my clients.
During the summer of 2014, I will work for Arthur J. Gallagher as a summer sales intern at their Baton Rouge and Metairie offices. This internship will provide me with my first experience in sales. By being able to work for two locations, I will be exposed to multiple concentrations of the insurance field. I am expected to work with heavy financial analysis and bonding in the construction industry at their Metairie office as well as with health insurance in Baton Rouge.
Throughout my college career, I have participated in multiple organizations such as the LSU Women's Choir and the Association of Information Technology Professionals. However, I have experienced the greatest impact by joining my business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. As part of this organization, I have given back to the community through volunteering at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, BraveHeart Children in Need, and many other civic events. I have recently been elected as the VP of Fundraising for the 2014-2015 school year. Because Delta Sigma Pi has assisted me in growing professionally and socially over the past year and a half, I am enthused to have the opportunity to serve on the executive board and to impact the fraternity in every way I am able.
